Description
Envision the Future is a proprietary process for creating vision, for designing how to achieve it, and for navigating towards its realisation. It focuses on visualising and describing what is wanted rather than on what is not wanted. It is a developmental approach that unlocks the future and invites ways to navigate it. It clarifies what potent images of the future inspire people forward, what unique value they carry implicitly within them, and how they can act upon it to successfully and truthfully express this value. It generates focus and converges different views in a way that they can become workable. Envision the Future is known for its applicability and flexibility, and its attractiveness for use in almost any situation. Once you engage with it, it is beauty in simplicity.
You can use the Envision concept for organisations, team or individual purposes, for the short-, medium- and long-term, and for dealing with small and large questions.
Concept
The Envision process works by producing a series of future images out of the box that are inspiring and attractive. Within these images one can find the core of the company’s or individual’s will for value-creation, its drivers and the creative ideas of how to express that core. The discovery of this core, its drivers and ideas generates the energy and will-power to move purposefully towards the future.
Process
The Envision process ranges from a three-step process with large groups to build a board or group vision, to a twelve-step process with individuals seeking qualitative and quantitative growth in their development and work-life.
Application
Organisations choose the ENVISION approach
• To improve the quality of current work and working processes, and to create physical and psychological room for new peak performances
• To be able to work anticipatively in the area of organisational development, either throughout the organisation or in specific departments
• To improve and renew cooperation throughout the whole organisation or in specific teams or departments
• To stimulate leadership and self-management
• To enable senior employees to lead their own development geared to their specific individual needs, and to continue to add value in a manner that meets today’s needs of both the organisation and themselves – the Envision programme strengthens individual learning within the context of the group, and
• To support people in finding their new destinations in case of reorganisation or dismissal.
Individuals choose the ENVISION approach
• To fully engage with and to learn how to manage from the future
• To discover what is of unique value to them and what they carry potentially within, and
• How to best integrate the development of this potential in their future work life.
Purpose
To empower people and organisations to become who they are capable of becoming by making explicit what it truly is that inspires them into the future.
